They also contain carbohydrates and certain vital salts and proteins. It is recommended to drink half a cup of pumpkin juice every day for its therapeutic properties.

  • Improving heart function. Pumpkin juice is rich in antioxidants, polyphenolic compounds and beta-carotene, which help to lower blood cholesterol.
  • Improving blood sugar regulation. Compounds in pumpkin juice, such as pectin and other dietary fibres, can have a positive effect on blood sugar levels by slowing the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates.
  • Improving the digestive system. The fibres in pumpkin juice help to improve digestion, improve intestinal peristalsis, relieve constipation and reduce bloating.
  • Strengthening the immune system. Vitamin C in pumpkin juice helps strengthen the immune system. It also stimulates the production of white blood cells and acts as an antioxidant in the body to help reduce oxidative stress.

Pumpkin juice is very versatile: it can be used fresh, mixed with other juices and as an ingredient in a variety of dishes. The method for making pumpkin juice is quite simple. Before you start making pumpkin juice, make sure that the pumpkin is sweet and edible. The pumpkin should also be uniform in colour.

  • First, wash the outside of the pumpkin well and peel off the tough outer skin.
  • Peel the pumpkin and cut it into small pieces.
  • Place the pumpkin in a juicer and squeeze out the juice.
  • If necessary, sweeten the juice with as much sugar as you like, you can also use honey or apple juice.
  • You can enhance the flavour of the juice by adding spices such as ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, ginger or even lemon juice. However, these spices should be added sparingly so that they do not overpower the natural taste of the drink.

  • 800 g carrots
  • 0,5 lemon

Preparation:

  1. Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds and cut into large pieces.
  2. Wash the carrots, peel them and cut them into several pieces.
  3. Peel the lemon, slice it.
  4. Place all the ingredients in a juicer and squeeze the juice.
  5. If you want to make the juice last longer, it should be heated and poured into clean jars.

This is a real vitamin bomb that you can make for the whole cold season. It only takes a few ingredients and the benefits are enormous.

Ingredients:

  • 2,5 kg pumpkin
  • 2 large oranges
  • 50 g of sugar, which can be omitted if the pumpkin is sweet
  • 0,5 lemon
  • Water, as required

Preparation:

  1. Wash the pumpkin, divide it into 4 parts. Then peel the skin and remove the seeds and cut the pumpkin into small pieces.
  2. Place the pumpkin pieces in a saucepan and cover with water. The liquid should completely cover the pumpkin and be 2 cm above it.
  3. Place the pot on a medium heat. Once the water boils, cook for about 30 minutes. During this time, the pumpkin will become very soft and the water will be saturated with useful substances.
  4. While the pumpkin is boiling, peel the oranges and the lemon and squeeze the juice with a juicer.
  5. Once the pumpkin is cooked, turn off the heat and leave it to cool with the liquid. Once cooled, mash the pumpkin with an electric masher.
  6. Add the orange and lemon juices to the resulting mixture, adding sugar if necessary, and cook for about 5 minutes.
  7. Then put everything into sterile jars and seal.

You can leave the apples unpeeled when making this juice, which will preserve more fibre and vitamins, which are very good for the body. However, if you want a lighter textured juice, then peel the apples.

Ingredients:

  • 800 g pumpkin
  • 4 apples
  • 0,5 tsp ground ginger
  • 0,5 tsp cinnamon
  • 0,25 tsp. ground cloves

Preparation:

  1. Wash the pumpkin and apples, peel them, remove the seeds and cut them into small pieces.
  2. Place the pumpkin and apples in a juicer and squeeze out the juice.
  3. Mix the juice with the spices and taste.
